Advanced research methodologies from various fields including fluid dynamics, acoustic, biotransport, mathematics, and computer science can be applied to achieve an improved understanding of these interactions which is useful for studying the physics of voice and complexities of speech production, enhancement in the prevention and treatment of voice disorders, and developing computer-based tools for their clinical management. This Special Collection covers recent developments in computational approaches and innovative experimental techniques in both human and animal vocalization.
