Learn more about Dr. Everett and browse his publications | | Welcome Our Newest Associate Editor, Mark Everett | Please join us in welcoming Mark Everett as the newest member of our editorial team. We are thrilled to have his wealth of experience in geophysics and earth science to expand this area in Review of Scientific Instruments.
Mark Everett is Howard Karren Professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Texas A&M University specializing in near-surface applied geophysics. Everett utilizes techniques such as ground-penetrating radar, electrical resistivity, magnetics and electromagnetic methods to address subsurface characterization problems in geological mapping, environment, cultural heritage, archaeology, agriculture, civil engineering, ecology, and water resources. Everett received his Ph.D. in Physics in 1991 from University of Toronto and then he did postdocs at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in UCSD and University of Cambridge, U.K. He has been a faculty member at Texas A&M since 1995 and has held guest professorships at ETH Zurich and Khon Kaen University in Thailand. Everett authored the textbook "Near-Surface Applied Geophysics." Everett holds State of Texas Professional Geoscientist license #5141. | |

We believe there has never been a more important time to stand firm in support of independent, open science. We work hand-in-hand with the global scientific community to safeguard the integrity of science. We ensure fair and rigorous peer-review of all published manuscripts, follow COPE guidelines for publication ethics, and work with the STM Integrity Hub to protect and preserve the integrity and ethical standards that serve as the bedrock of high-quality scholarly communications.
These are just a few of the ways in which AIP Publishing lives up to the promise we made to the global research community when we joined with the American Physical Society and IOP Publishing to form Purpose-Led Publishing, a coalition committed to the simple idea that science is our only shareholder. |
