Learn more about Dr. Persson's interests and recently published articles | Received First Journal Impact Factor This Year | | | | Meet Our New Associate Editor, Dr. Persson | | | I am delighted to join Chemical Physics Reviews as an associate/reviews editor. I believe that this relatively new AIP Publishing journal fills an important role to provide excellent perspectives of several exciting and emerging research topics at the highly dynamic boarder between chemical physics and physical chemistry, and covering a very valuable mix of experimental and theoretical advances that closely matches my own interests. This includes several topics of profound scientific significance such as progress in ultrafast dynamics of photoinduced electro-optical and solar energy conversion processes, as well as highly significant theoretical advances in rapidly developing research fields such as dynamical simulations of chemical reactions, and machine learning approaches to chemical discovery. | - Dr. Petter Persson Lund University, Sweden | | |
Petter Persson is a Senior University Lecturer at the Lund University Chemistry Department. He is the principal investigator of the Quantum Photoelectrochemistry Group that combines quantum chemical simulations and time-resolved dynamics down to ultrafast timescales to investigate photoinduced chemical reactions in solar energy conversion systems.
Petter Persson received his undergraduate education in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, UK and a Ph.D. in quantum chemistry from Uppsala University, Sweden. Following postdoctoral work at Uppsala University and California Institute of Technology (CALTECH), he moved to Lund University as an assistant professor in chemical physics before taking up his current permanent position in computational chemistry.
Petter Persson has published over 100 original research papers in international journals, covering a broad range of topic from molecular to materials systems and including both experimental and theoretical/computational works with over 9000 citations in total and a current h-index of 54 (source: Google Scholar, August 2024). | | | SELECT ARTICLES AUTHORED BY PETTER PERSSON |
