Among some his most recognized contributions are developing the theory of Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) ballooning stability in generalized toroidal geometry, the PEST2 stability code, relaxation theory, and, most recently, the theory of multi-region relaxed MHD. Many of these seminal contributions were published in Physics of Plasmas (and Physics of Fluids before that). This Special Topic would consist of invited works inspired by Bob, his ideas and research, that reflect the breadth of his contributions over so many years. This Special Topic would be coordinated with the mini-conference tribute being organized for the 2024 APS-DPP meeting and serve as the publication venue for contributions to that meeting. | Topics covered include, but are not limited to: | Adelle Wright, University of Wisconsin – Madison |
Amitava Bhattacharjee, Princeton University |
Phil Morrison, University of Texas at Austin | | | Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025 | | | | | | | | Follow us on social media | |
