Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, neuromorphic and quantum materials, two-dimensional and low-dimensional systems, phase-change and memristive materials, materials for spintronic and photonic computing, and novel interconnects and substrates. Contributions that explore material synthesis, characterization, theoretical modeling, and integration into device architectures are particularly encouraged. We also welcome interdisciplinary studies bridging materials science with device engineering and computational hardware development. By gathering innovative advances in functional materials tailored for AI and high-performance computing, this Special Topic seeks to provide a platform for discussing emerging trends, revealing structure–property–performance relationships, and identifying future challenges in the field. |
