Leading by Example - A More Diverse and Inclusive Editorial Board To better represent the communities we serve, our expanded Editorial Board has grown more topically and globally diverse over the past few years, and there is an increasing proportion of Early Career members and women: Diversity through Special Topics and Collections Led by Guest Editors together with the journal Editors, these collections represent the diverse array of topics published by the journal. They feature emerging and hot areas of research and include invited top author submissions along with general contributions from practitioners in the field. New in 2022: Special Collection Recognizing Women in Applied Physics   Highlights the vast influential contributions that women have made to Applied Physics and related disciplines. Early Career Investigator Selection   Presents the astounding work of early career principal investigators who are within 10 years of their PhD and are primarily responsible for the origination of research projects, their overall direction, and leading interpretation of results. Serving the Community through Faster Decision Times  One of our many efforts to serve the community was to dramatically decrease the average time to editorial decision in 2021, which we have accomplished: We will continue to improve and to update you, the community, as to just how far we've come.
